I also want to thank friends here that donated to my nyc marathon fundraiser to support cancer research at MSKCC. I’m very appreciative of the generosity from friends and family as $5,430 was raised. At mile 15 my hands especially swelled up a lot. I had cartoon-like balloon hands I couldn’t bend my fingers. I was jogging on the Queensboro bridge when it happened. Two police officers saw me as I crossed with others into Manhattan and stopped me to see if I needed a medic. I didn’t but agreed with them not to ignore my body. MSKCC was 2 miles away on the marathon route so I slowly jogged/walked there to meet the team and bow out. I thought that would be a good place to take a pic for Facebook to thank supporters. My hands are back to normal! Thanks again!
