Is it possible to fight this kind of corruption? I

Is it possible to fight this kind of corruption? I'm sure it's easy enough to find a weak character here and there to exploit with bottomless wells of money. It certainly feels (to me) like the covid trial has been slow-walked. Maybe to let the big boys present their drugs first? Money is certainly the root of all evil (or at least a lot of evil).
