gd4 - you are correct, an LLC's primary effect is to limit liability (exposure) when "bad things" happen. On the other hand, most such companies are not created to act as an empty shell that cannot be touched when those "bad things" happen. It strikes me as suspicious when there are two "primary" companies, and neither of them has their name on the lease of the property with one of their names on the door. Lots of landlords would be suspicious of such an arrangement, but it would not surprise me if either Generex or NuGenerex was the name on the original lease, and then the tenant name was changed because this location was "going to be the new location of this subsidiary," while the "big" companies relocate to a larger facility "soon" (one of the primary excuses). Of course, that never happened. Strange when the parents list this address as theirs.
