I'd like reporters to be more informed.
ERs Are Swamped With Seriously Ill Patients, Although Many Don’t Have Covid

"Doctors and nurses say the severity of illness ranges widely and includes abdominal pain, respiratory problems, blood clots, heart conditions and suicide attempts, among other conditions."
The thrust of the article is that healthcare professionals are working hard. I agree with this, but I think that the reporter all too simply fails to make a connection to Covid19. When they attribute the "swamped" ER's to delayed or postponed care, yet the symptoms mentioned actually accompany the various phases of Covid-19 which include the viral, cytokine storm, and long-haulers (PACS) phases of Covid-19, good reporters should dig deeper. IMO the majority of reporters have not been on top of their craft and just parrot memes they've seen elsewhere.
I don't doubt that there are better links, but the graphic at the bloomberg link below gives perspective, and the Cytodyn press release link from their first long-haulers trial shows relevance. I think the reporter, like many of their peers, does their readers a disservice by not recognizing the detail of all the phases of Covid-19. JMO.
I'll leave readers here to look up cytokine storm issues, but below are other relevant links.
