Nelson, That opinion piece was well-written, in my

We didn't know much at the pandemic start (the virus genome was withheld, etc). Remember how urban dwellers got it even though they stayed locked up in their high rise condos? Ventilation issues, as in the piece.
Now we've learned stuff (you know, science). Let's take that info and move forward. It's not by loading up the kids, IMO. You know, schools in Sweden and other European countries stayed open. I think the vaccines will eventually be proven as safe. (Mumps vaccine was the previous quickest to approval, after 4 years of testing in the 60's.) Vaccine mandates for all worker bees associated with any company with any Fed funding of any type, but not for postal workers? That's not science.
Ignoring the deleterious lockdown effects is also Not Science. Again, not dwelling; let's move forward with stuff that works. If Fauci can't think of solutions, he can move over into pension land. I've heard it's nice there.
