Do you know how to fix an airplane engine? No? Yet you get on an airplane, TRUSTING that the experts fixed it correctly.
That is WHY you hire experts. For instance, if everyone knew how to negotiate their own contracts, who would need you?
If you screw up someone's contract, is it their fault because they trusted you?
I will refrain from the obvious jest here. I'm sure you are in fact competent in your area of expertise.
