"By sending a Notice of Penalty Offenses to more than 700 companies , the agency is placing them on notice they could incur significant civil penalties— up to $43,792 per violation —if they use endorsements in ways that run counter to prior FTC administrative cases."

700 companies that could Field Check embedding in the Verb app. Otherwise it might be very costly every time an associate posts something misleading. Imagine if one associate does it 3 times in just one day. That could be over $100K just with one associate. Imagine if you had 600,000 associates to worry about.

They don't just apply to direct says companies. Apply in a lot of othese cases.
