Hello All,

I sent myself a reminder to make a post last Tuesday at 5:05 pm which read,

"13D = fake news populism. Strategy."

As I write this post, one week later, I am still struggling to connect all the thoughts I have about the application of that strategy to Cytodyn by the proxy group, if any.

I suppose what I'm getting at is we live in the post-fact version of a once great society.

As applied to the potentially upcoming proxy vote for BOD members at the annual shareholders meeting, I think this means that if the facts don't matter, and only the scope of opinion does, then a group can attempt to gain enough votes to effectuate a change in control, even if it is selfish, and against the will of the knowledgeable stake holder.

When I extend in my own thoughts the strategy of fake news (propaganda) being used as a tool to subvert facts, and gain control of an unknowing electorate...well, then I can go a number of directions. In which century should we begin? The dumbing down of the American electorate since the outset of Neo-liberalsim for example? Jim Crow education policies? Too many to list...

When I extend in my own thoughts about this strategy being utilized against Cytodyn and it's retail shareholders, I have to ask myself, "Has it been successful? And in what stage is it currently?"

It has not yet been successful. In my opinion, we are in the stage where gaining enough votes from an unwitting electorate has failed to achieve the desired goals, if there was indeed an effort to sway votes by a particular group.

So what's left? Attack the character of the opponent. I believe we are at the stage of the proxy members not able to win on merit.

Chazzle
