How many companies report their enrollment in clinical trials on an ongoing basis? Rarely or maybe never have I seen that. It's unrealistic to expect the company to breathlessly report enrollment statistics because a few shareholders want the trials to be over yesterday. Why should they? The clinical trial is ongoing and when they hit an actual milestone -- like, say, 40% enrollment which will allow an initial peek at the data -- then MAYBE they will say it.
I trust that the management is continuing to let Einstein do its job, and they will update us when there is important news.
As far as worrying that the enrollment will be difficult in Brazil -- come on. The disease is raging there, and it's not as if we need 100,000 people enrolled in the trial. There will be plenty of people to offer enrollment to. If you were offered the choice of standard of care that is not very good, or standard of care plus an experimental drug that has saved lives and seems to have no serious side effects, which would you pick?
