With the US Dollar surging, all mining stocks are declining rapidly, but gold price is holding steadily. US's annual world trade deficit has been mounting at $700 billion for the past 2 years, Dow Jones Industrial Average is leveling off and looks precarious as persistently high inflation rate increases operating cost and erodes corporate earnings while mounting trade deficits and budget deficits stifle economic growth. Q3 GDP is expected to decline to 5.1%. This could be US Dollar's final rally before turning around apruptly and crashing sharply below the support at 89 on warning of possible crash in the broader market. Loose but constructive Head&Shoulder chart pattern in gold price in 2021 forms the base for a strong bull market for mining stocks in Q4 and in 2022 as the up trend in the Mining Index (XAU) is still intact, a sharp up reversal from the fail break situation in the quarterly chart will signal the beginning of a bull market in the mining sector as the US Dollar declines and gold price rises.
