From "Reservation Dogs" to "Tiger King," audiences worldwide have been enthralled with some of the eccentric and colorful characters living in Oklahoma. But nothing has prepared TV viewers for the insanity of the "Cowboys of Cannabis" a behind-the-scenes Reality TV series about the characters and antics that have spawned a billion-dollar Marijuana industry in Oklahoma. In less than three years, the marijuana market in Oklahoma has exploded into a modern-day version of the Oklahoma Land Rush. With loose restrictions on consumer access, and even easier requirements for business licensing, would be entrepreneurs have flocked into Oklahoma to stake their claims. From fry-cooks into millionaires, the "Cowboys of Cannabis" chronicles the explosive growth of this industry and the bigger-than-life players who have built businesses and fortunes almost overnight.
"This is such an amazing story," said Eric Parkinson, Executive Producer. "It's like the tech boom of the 1990's except instead of computers, the financial rewards are going to those who have the best marijuana strains, delivery means or retail outlets. The characters in the series are outrageous, mesmerizing and sometimes just plain wacky. We think audiences are going to love this show," he concluded.
The "Cowboys of Cannabis" series focuses on twelve principal players in the industry, from growers and distributors to retailers. A first look sneak peek reel has been temporarily posted to IMDb, to give viewers a tease to the flavor of this incredible new show:
