Wouldn’t a sensible way to do the breast cancer

Wouldn’t a sensible way to do the breast cancer study would be to exclude those who did not have a drop in circulating tumor cells as non-responders, then get the results on the group that responds with a drop in circulating tumor cells and concentrate on that group? That’s the beauty of that test.
