I would like to request that all Hangout readers please respect the privacy of any referenced Brilacidin Compassionate Use patient and the patient’s family. These people are real people with a loved one being intubated. Let’s all try to be decent human beings and respect their privacy. Please do not try to contact any of the potential Compassionate Use people as they are praying for the survival of a loved one.
I noticed in another situation that a couple of interested parties were directly commenting on Facebook and asking “is Brilacidin working?”. IMO this is a very low and unethical thing to do. Please respect these people regardless of your interest in IPIX success.
I personally believe this is one of many cases that will be proof points that proves that Brilacidin successfully treats CV19 and unlike all other antivirals, completely eliminates the virus. Prior to CV19 the survival rate for intubated patients was around 50%. When the first major CV19 caseload hit the NY area the statistics were closer to 80% not surviving and only a 20% survival rate.
How many lives will be saved when Brilacidin is given early in the disease versus waiting until it is a last resort after SOC treatments have failed? The sooner Brilacidin gets approved the more human lives that will be saved. Human Trial results are coming soon.
