Good point. Hope they don't count me and my hairdresser in with covid docs and scientists. Perhaps they will make a distinction from those that more officially add their names to the declaration versus folks adding via the website. (They do name some of the endorsers at the bottom of the page- including Dr. Mobeen Syed -AKA Dr. Been. If I get my energy/nerve up will ask him on twitter about it.)

Haven't been able to vet this much through a quick search. Though I do think it is reasonable that docs and scientists - as well as other health care workers and public health professionals - across the globe are getting more vocal/demanding about the need to also focus on treatments and therapeutics.

They mention a platform for docs and scientists only- but haven't actually found it:

"In concert with the declaration, the signatories have created a “Doctors - and Scientists-only” COVID information platform so that citizens can make informed decisions for their families without interruption, manipulation, politicization, or profiteering from external forces outside of the doctor-patient relationship."
