FDA still has to approve anything used in the U.S. Novavax has been noticeably lackadaisical about rushing their application in to the U.S. -- they won't have enough doses to supply Japan, the EU, the UK, and Africa, AND the U.S.
I was going to wait for Novavax to have as my booster. I don't think I can safely wait until December or 2022, though, which is when the FDA might get around to deciding that a non-Big Pharma vaccine can be approved, as Big Pharma has already made the lion's share of profits.
I doubt that vaccine tourism will work -- too dangerous to spend hours on a plane to places where we might be able to get Novavax.
