Had the same where I worked. "ANY" invention (even if had nothing to do with the company)was company property. Knew a guy who invented a new type of shower head (at home) company fought long and hard to get it in their name. I believe he was ultimately successful. And the company had nothing to do with showerheads or plumbing.
