What most don't know is the actual type of patents these are.
"The three types of patents are utility patents, design patents, and plant patents. Utility patents are issued for inventions that are novel and useful. Design patents protect the design or image of a product. Plant patents are issued to applicants for plants that can reproduce.
Verb patents are utility patents
"A utility patent is a patent that covers the creation of a new or improved—and useful—product, process, or machine. A utility patent, also known as a "patent for invention," prohibits other individuals or companies from making, using, or selling the invention without authorization."
How valuable is a utility patent?
"The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) might also include additional fees including post-issuance fees, extension of time fees, and trademark processing fees, among others. Since utility patents are the most valuable, the costs to patent them at the USPTO can range anywhere from $6,000 to $15,000."
This is the 2nd time they were granted a continuation patent on the first one.

So what is this patent?
"In various embodiments, the system allows the custom content and the associated links to be distributed via a distribution channel (e.g., email, text, social media, etc.) to various recipients. By tracking the various links, the system can identify which recipients select or follow a link, perform related action, and/or perform a conversion action, such as a purchase of a good or service. A conversion action may include other things like visiting a home, asking for more details, applying for a loan, applying for a job, etc. Various examples of conversion actions are provided herein.
The links allow for bi-direction tracking in that a conversion action performed by a recipient can be traced back to the content distributor responsible for the conversion action. Even in a multi-user system, the system can determine which of a plurality of content distributors deserves credit for each conversion action or even each click-through ."
In simplest terms, if you are sending content and combinations (including text, images, videos, articles, URL links, messages, advertisements, notices, testimonials, etc.) to someone and tracking it, this patent would cover it. Not only that but it covers multi-vertical or horizontal levels. Also covers if that someone forwards the link to someone else.
Sound familiar?
Affiliate marketing started 20+ years ago. It's amazing Verb was able to file and application for this 7 years ago and actually received a utility patent
Notice it took a LONG time for the first patent. 3 and 1/2 years as I'm sure there was a lot of checking to see of someone else had something similar
20+ years ago affiliate marketing wasn't big, but it is now. Unless you are in marketing or around it, you may have no idea.

Yeah, affiliates promote stuff and get paid today, but nothing like how Verb took it to another level
I would guess 99.99% of investors have no idea about this
Verb going to need some sort of score card to show all the differentiating features and products they have so Get Penny can update their website.
