Personally I am not sure if the quiet period will be strictly observed. The purpose of the quiet period is so that nothing in the earnings report gets leaked to the public before they are presented. It could be argued that if our q3 numbers are like q2 numbers where no significant merger activity has occurred then there is zero risk. Could be why he scheduled the acquisition related to the last PR for the END of Q3. he could announce the merger will happen on Oct 1 and then there is nothing to worry about in q3 report. JMO.
