COVID-19: CDC reports US case count increases by more than 126,000
According to CDC's COVID Data Tracker on September 14, 2021 7:00 pm ET, the case count of COVID-19 in the US stands at 41,262,574* cases, including 660,380* deaths, in 55 (50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Marianas, and US Virgin Islands) jurisdictions, while 126,083 new cases and 989 new deaths were reported.

Additionally, the CDC noted that a total of 209,982,936 (63.2%) people have received at least one dose of vaccine and 179,289,983 (54.0%) people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in the US.

* As of April 14, 2020, CDC case counts and death counts include both confirmed and probable cases and deaths.

The following table depicts the 20 jurisdictions with the highest case counts, and their total death, percentage of population with at least one dose of vaccine and percentage of population fully vaccinated in the respective jurisdictions. Vaccination information was obtained from the CDC’s site, with full details on vaccination status for all jurisdictions.
