I have a close family member who had Covid, and ex

Her Covid Long Haul panel tested abnormally high positive for 10 cytokine/chemokines and also positive for the Long Haul index algorithm. Her 2 current physicians (who are very smart well-trained doctors) weren’t comfortable prescribing the repurposed drugs that were recommended (Statins, Steroids, Ivermectin, etc). So, the only way to get the drugs prescribed were from 2 physicians that were in her area that IncellDx recommended (One was about to relocate). She went with the available doctor, and had to pay $750 (out of pocket) for treatment and follow up. She paid the $750 and took the recommended drugs for the duration suggested.
This doctor she used (referred by IncellDX) was completely incompetent. My family member asked her about the purpose of different drugs and for what elevated cytokines etc, and the doctor said absolutely nothing, didn’t have a clue about immunology. My family member mentioned she felt Ivermectin was giving her an upset stomach, and if it was okay to stop Ivermectin. The doctor had absolutely no opinion. Other questions she had the doctor didn’t say anything – was totally useless. Obviously, this was very upsetting to my family member.
She decided to stick with the recommended full treatment of drugs and duration and to see what happens with the follow up lab test. Will this help her abnormally high cytokines and Long Haul index score? The answer was no, not at all. We recently got the follow up test and it showed abnormally high positives now for 11 cytokine/chemokines and still positive for the LongHaul index score, so it actually got a little worse.
And symptomatically for her, nothing improved.
I know this is one patient's story, but I share this to mention that Patterson’s testing methodology and use of repurposed drugs is not proven. (13D group thinks Patterson has the holy grail answer to Covid Long Haul). There are no placebo control double blinded trials showing this works. I’m not trying to be a basher, just that this is unproven. I recently talked to my family member, and she repeated saying, “this was a total rip off.” She is pretty angry, and still suffering.
Also the lab tests IncellDx uses are not FDA reviewed or approved. They are called “Laboratory Developed Tests” (in the past LDTs were known as “Homebrew tests”), and they don’t carry the same weight of clinical evidence that FDA approved tests do. It's good to keep this in perspective.
I went over that IncellDx lab report from my family member which says below the data just to quote, “The LDT (laboratory developed test) tests comprising the panel has not been reviewed by the US FDA.”
I went to the FDA website to cite a reference to LDTs if anyone is interested:
https://www.fda.gov/media/102367/download
“Many stakeholders, in addition to FDA, have indicated that there is a public health need for greater oversight of LDTs.” (in the conclusion of the link)
The 13d group it seems has put Patterson on a pedestal with hero worship. Almost cult like praise, the group built around 1 person. They think his TedTalk caused the $10 sp spike. That’s crazy talk, such a reach. He’s not famous. Also, why the dump then? This was Covid stock season pump and dump. 13d claims they’ll get a fast enrollment for Long Haul Phase 3. Current management had a very fast Covid Long Haul Phase 2 fill up with Dr. Norman Gaylis (on the SAB who is extremely qualified, and not looking to take over the company). They had a record setting NASH Phase 2 enrollment. I expect current management to have a fast enrollment of Long Haul Phase 3, under Dr. Recknor.
13d brings nothing new, only a ton of risk. Let’s not give them the keys to the car. They say they have funding lined up and don’t talk to Big Pharma, however we have no way of knowing what they really are able to, and willing to do. Again, just to keep things in perspective, Patterson is not the only CCR5 expert. Do a PubMed search on CCR5 and you will get over 10,000 articles from scientists all over the world discussing CCR5. Also, there are now numerous Long Haul clinics and institutions researching this disease (not just IncellDx).
Many of us investors are not scientists and may not have technical expertise, however we can still make a good judgement about the future of our company.
I like our current management team together with the 8 highly qualified Scientific Board of Advisors. I like the progress and direction, and I know what to expect from them. I have a lot of shares and it’s in my financial interest to support them.
