Having someone other than NP layout progress company has made, explain steps taken and why, set out path forward for each indication being studied or trialed would likely be clearer and more antiseptic. That said, his passion for moving this molecule forward is irreplaceable in my humble estimation.
The constant drumming by NP bashers over his "self-enrichment" is pathetic. Most investors who buy a product or service or even just an idea from its inventor, founder, etc., immediately figures out how to market it in order to be able to do an IPO to provide capital for growth and yes, to take a piece for themselves. Once public, a company should move towards an independent BOD, but most entrepreneurs chafe at doing it too soon. BOD's can choke out the nimbleness needed to adjust to changes of direction or focus that can make or break young companies.
I am willing to wait for results in Brazil that will give us the revenue we need to put all the angst over funding to rest and if we find a sensible partnership along the way, most of us will embrace it and be onboard.
I was at first put off by SK's revelation about asking NP to step down and stick around for a year, but by the time he finished his telling had a solid ring to it.
No doubt we will outgrow our current management team at some point, BUT this is NOT that point IMHO.
