Funny you mentioned Secretariat as I spent a lot of last night going thru youtube watching videos of him and the various stages of his career and life.  They say horses are pretty dumb animals, but he seemed to be aware of the situation and when he was on camera.  Quite the showman.  Very easy to see why so many people felt a deep connection with him and why he is their favorite horse of all time.

Too bad Dr M doesn't have red hair, I would nickname him "Big Red" just like the equine champ.
