I am not certain I agree, or at least understand, how mRNA vaccines will fail to generate durable T cell responses.
My concern is that both the mRNA and adenovirus vaccines are generating response to spike protein. This is very helpful to prevent severe illness, but is vulnerable to immune escape from viral mutation (apparently relatively or highly mutable structures) and does not induce a blocking immune response.
I believe the mRNA will be successful against cancer, but Leronlimab more so.
I don’t believe it is all or none, but some solutions have much wider and durable utility.
