Yes, it went to trial. JBI decided hat it could not risk that or that he cost would be more than the settlement. It was a good decision for the company and JB.
It does not mean that the charges were cleared. It does not mean that fraud was knowingly committed. We will never know what the outcome of a jury trial would have been.
