That is a bona fide different dude, but he's literally friends with Patterson and has clearly been given directives to go out and sway as many shareholders to side with them as possible.

MDV will ingratiate himself with you and do whatever it takes to get you on the phone, either with himself or (likely depending on how many shares you have) with Patterson.

I would imagine those efforts have ceased now that law firms and the SEC are involved. I personally declined multiple offers to get on the phone with him but I know several people who did talk to MDV. My argument was always "how can you trust a word that dude says?"
