Only three countries took it seriously enough (four if you count the country of origin). The remainder that have refused to follow their example are why it's still here.
No, it appears most people are incapable of doing what it takes to stop it.. so it will continue along it's evolutionary arc, becoming more virulent. The past year was just getting established.
Its more likely it's going to tear through the population, and render a large amount of dead and disabled, in the absence of any real treatments that are also approved. Approved treatments that don't work don't really matter.
As long as everyone a buying 2-3 shots a year, why bother to stop it?
