This post helped me with a notion that I have been struggling to articulate- mostly to myself.

To me, the situation is similar to that with of my conflicted admiration of some professional athletes. Excellent on-field skills with objectionable behaviors off the field.
I admire the work of Dr. Patterson and believe much of the knowledge of Covid related immune dysfunction would not have been characterized so quickly without him. Nonetheless, I am dismayed at the apparent self-serving attempt to sell IncellDx to Cytodyn at the expense of Cytodyn shareholders. I expect the truth of the IncellDx/Cytodyn imbroglio to be revealed eventually.
Dr. Patterson's work, both describing the immune dysfunction of acute covid and attempting to elucidate the basis long haulers/PASC, is valuable. His approach to ameliorating PASC may be wrong, but the entire medical community is still hunting for solutions. Medical discovery is not necessarily an entirely linear process.
