Lawrence L. Michaelis, M.D., M.S. Emeritus Professor of Surgery; Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University.

Dr. Michaelis is former Chief of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery at Northwestern and an entrepreneur, physician/healthcare educator, and former CMO of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Associate Dean of Northwestern University Medical School. He is author of over 130 peer-reviewed journal articles and a former Senior Surgeon and researcher with the NIH. He was responsible for all Clinical Research at NMH and helped develop the CRC of Northwestern University. He has been: the leader of several multispecialty physician groups; President of the American Heart Association of Metropolitan Chicago; and Chairman and Member of the Boards of a large number of Public and Private Healthcare Companies.
Dr. Ian Rawe Ph.D – Director of Clinical Research
Dr. Rawe obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, at the University of Hertfordshire and a Ph.D in Biophysics at the Open University, Oxford, UK studying wound healing of the cornea. Dr. Rawe has extensive research experience spending 15 years conducting research on eye disease at Harvard Medical School. He brings expertise in designing and implementing research studies and publishing research articles. His role in the company will be to publish completed research studies, design and develop clinical trials utilizing the company’s technology. His experience in writing and obtaining grants from the NIH will allow the company to apply for small business innovation and research funding from the NIH SBIR/SBTT grant program.
Kenneth McLeod – Bioengineering Consultant
Kenneth McLeod is the Chairman and a Professor in the Bioengineering and Bioelectromagnetics Laboratory at the State University of New York. Dr. McLeod is a pioneer researcher and author on the effect of energy on tissue, particularly at low power levels.
