More concerning issues than side effects are the following: (1) The durability of the vaccines, whether taken one time or in stages. If the resistance is not maintained, and the virus is still circulation, big problem. (2) The effect of those who are asymptomatic, mildly symptomatic, or adverse illness, what are the long haul effects of having the body exposed to the virus, even if successfully repelled due to natural response or immunizations. (3) Mutations on the mutations.... bound to happen with all the billion of micro sized particles. (4) What effect will the seasonal weather changes have on the current surge. Logic says, the north and central areas of country could be in deep trouble.
And while of the 50% or so have not been vaccinated, some have had it and never been tested, this is offset by the very likely of reinfections that to some degree will occur; in my opinion, the milder the infection upon initial exposure, including people who do not know it, the more likely reinfection.
On the whole, I think many experts in field are missing many questions on this.
