"In their own car wearing a mask" -- well, there actually can be reasons for that.
When I had my car serviced and the mechanic who drove my car into the pick-up bay was coughing.... I wore a mask on the way home.
When I drive two blocks from Target to a grocery store, I keep the mask on so that I don't contaminate TWO masks -- because after I wear a mask, I isolate it in a paper bag for 4 days, just in case some infected person coughed their mucus droplets out into the air, and I unknowingly walked through their cloud of contagion.
Lovely mental picture, huh? Other people's mucus in YOUR lungs....
