I'm sorry brother fitskarz and BB
I have been preping for exams and completely
forgot about posting the answer to my plywood question.
Please forgive my actions as my brain has been in study mode
the past few days and it hurts bigly right now.
Any ways...My question was...
What is the biggest circle you can cut out of a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood??
(a) 5'
(b) 5.5'
(c) 4'
(d) could care less...show me the 10k lol
The answer is (b) 5'
Formula
If you lay a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood on the ground
Looking down on the plywood...starting from the left side bottm edge of the plywood,
take a tape measure and measure over from left to right and place a mark at 30''
which is 1/2 of 5'...
Use the 30'' mark as your center radius line/pivot point and with a pencil held at the end
of the tape in your left hand, draw a line as you rotate around the 30'' radius mark from left to right until you get to the right side bottom edge of the plywood.
You should see a 1/2 circle which represents 1/2 of a 5' in diameter
circle.
Now if you walk around to the opposite side of the plywood and pull
the same 30'' measurement again starting from left to right at the bottom edge of the plywood..and
mark 30'' as you radius point, when holding your pencil in your left hand at the end of the tape you will now
using the 30'' radius mark as you pivot point, draw another 1/2 of a 5' diammeter circle. You will see
that the line from the first 1/2 circle and the line from the second 1/2 circle meet and just touch
each other in the middle of the sheet of plywood but don't over lap or cross. Where the two lines touch
will measure 2 1/2' from either the bottom or top edge of the plywood. Exactly!
Now, cut the plywood ( with an OSHA approved of course)
saw or other means...lol and put the two half's together forming a 5' diameter circle.
I hope I stated this in a manor that that is understood by all.
BB? with your DD insite, I thought you might have got this...I'm disappointed in ya bro lol
Thats ok sir...your not alone... few folks do.
Lots of $ won in the field when showing this to fellow carpenters.
Most say it can't be done...
As far as the float BB? Yoda is close at 1.5 bil. I think... but I come
up with 993,195,714 or close to that with numbers through the 3Q of last year... Best guess I can do bro...
Go RFMK
