The outflow from blue states is a mix of retiree snowbirds and job changers. There is an influx of younger people for higher paying jobs
so the GDP numbers continue to rise assuring that red states get their redistributed tax revenue, as they have for decades.
GOP 'leadership' is killing people in TX, MO, Ark and FL.
CA and NY AND IL GDP exceeds that of the entire old confederacy, and will for a very long time to come. Low bar comparing GDP with what in some respects is a 3rd world economy with low education, lower wages and poor health outcomes.
