How would you feel about living with possible acquired diabetes, stroke, cognitive impairment, cardiac issues, significant pulmonary / breathing issues? Not saying everyone will have that experience, just that it's well documented that it exists. When you have friends and family that have been in rehab for months and show dubious or fleeting signs of improvement, does that factor into your definition of "living"?
People keep citing "mental health" as being damaged by this pandemic.. what happened during the cold war, when everyone lived under the constant threat of nuclear annihilation? Did people lose their minds, commit suicide or homicides? Surely some may have been depressed by that prospect, but how did people suddenly lose all capacity to deal with adversity? Genuinely curious re: all the above.
