It is.. the goal is not to save lives, it's to sell vaccines, regardless of how effective (or not) they might be. There's no other rational explanation.. policies are relaxed just enough to allow this epidemic to continue to fester, border controls and quarantines aren't implemented or enforced.. this is a herd thinning event to those calling the shots.
