Can't remember who I was listening to - it certainly wasn't on mainstream media so it will probably be immediately discredited by the people who still believe what they see on TV - but it went something like "things get to terrible places one tiny step at a time". First the lockdowns were for "just a few weeks to flatten the curve". Then the masks - who as Normy correctly pointed out have never had peer-reviewed, duplicated studies that even show that they have any efficacy - but just for a month or so. Yet a year-and-a-half later here we are.
Hopefully someday soon people will be pushed far enough to finally grow a pair and realize that we live in America, and remember that America stands for 'Land of the Free'. Hopefully they'll also remember how many people have willingly put their lives on the line to protect that, and they'll stop cowering to the shaming process so apparent on mainstream and social media. I feel so incredibly heartbroken for the kids. Imagine having your entire youth turned upside down over a virus that barely effects any of them. What is this caving in to anything, no matter how illogical it is, process that they see their parents doing teaching them? Not to stand up for their rights, that's for sure.
The rest of the world is looking at us, hoping that we reach critical mass soon in terms of when people finally say enough is enough. Hopefully we get there, but I'm not so sure anymore.
