Verb's tweet on Twitter today... #QOTD We're st
Post# of 32627
#QOTD We're still in #EvolutionOfSaaS #2.0, and with Verb products like #verbLIVE, we're still stoked about #livestreaming. YouTube Live, the first live event hosted by YouTube, took place in '08. Despite the fact that the live event was a success, something was still amiss . #TBT
I'm glad VERB pointed it out, but much kinder than I would/will
"YouTube Live: a disastrous spectacle Google would like you to forget
On the eve of its next attempt, has the company learned from its mistakes?"
https://www.theverge.com/2013/11/1/5052440/yo...-to-forget
red, non, Google ne regrette rien?
they can pretend they didn't regret it, but...
It as such a disaster, they waited 5 years before trying it again
Granted they probably had AOLers on dial up modems to boot
But, this isn't a small start up that tried it...
This WAS/IS Da Google
A Huge company
And it took them FIVE years to regroup!
So anyone that is impatient about timelines, think about Da Google timelines
But not so different than Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce and the rest that are late on everything.
I saw one of the Verb team members mention on linkedin Verb was the Video First company
I think they may want to lite that up a bit more
I remember the days where software companies were touting they were mobile first and CIOs and CEOs were eating that up and telling everyone within the enterprise, "You need to start thinking, Mobile First".
Duh, but everything you have bought for the last 1-20 years was PC focused. I can't rewrite someone else's 2x4, 1000 line pile o'crap did.
Isn't that what we pay them for, eh?
Video First is such a strong message for VERB so it would be great to see that get lit up in the market messages as that will put them far ahead of everyone else
Anywho, where the hell was I going with this?
Oh, yeah...
VerbLit
What is it?
red, I don't think so...
not so fast...
I'm brainstorming...thinking outside the box
how cool would it be to see Rory with a flamethrower and a occupy Mars t-shirt, eh?
red, it's been done
How about a bugasalt?
I got one for Fathers day
https://www.bugasalt.com/
red, Verb would lose the entomologists
Got it...
This will be a tricky event
I would imagine it would be focused on the products and the customer, not investors, but who knows?
If I was scripting...
No grand speeches
No...how hard this was getting here again
go ahead and turn Aerosmith down now for the opening act...
Although I think ST was my last concert a few years back
How does a guy in his 70s sings like that is crazy unless he hit's himself in the nutz before every show
Anyone look up symposium yet?
red, I'm sure that is the first thing you did right after you checked your calendar
yup, I cleared off the next two months
Hold my calls...
Symposium is the word that struck me, eh?
sym·po·si·um
/simˈpōzēəm/
noun
1.) a conference or meeting to discuss a particular subject.
2.) a collection of essays or papers on a particular subject by a number of contributors.
3.) a drinking party or convivial discussion, especially as held in ancient Greece after a banquet (and notable as the title of a work by Plato).
#3 would be interesting...
But don't get too excited...
Could be an event with holes in cakes
That is the paradox
How to get excited but keep your excitement in check, eh?
Unless of course Verb is your meme stock or $2B trap door right now
Some friends here remember Symposiums from our other stock
It was external expert speakers sharing insights on a collective subject
I love the Symposium word instead of Conference
Conference sound like something I have to go to unless it's a...
Conference boondoggle, eh?
Symposium sets the tone for an exclusive group meeting to get educated
That is just my opinion after years of being at both
I can pay to get into any conference
I can't pay to get into any symposium I suppose
In any case, the canvas is blank and Verb can paint it
I am guessing it will be open to remote viewers
red, you've been into remote viewing for years I heard
sssh, the things you can see and the places you'll go without even leaving home
Circling back to the 3D stuff...
Seeing the future is no harder these days than watching Star Trek back in the 60's
may want to listen to the podcast
