That is exactly what happens - when people are foolish enough to try to walk a stacked ask down it gets slapped immediately by top traders who know they will make a profit on that inventory lot.
It is already much thinner to the upside because of the people duped to sell for a loss by the institutional level shakers.
This leads to multiple top tier traders making multiple round trips a day at a variety of price points - as they will be ensuring they always have shares for the self-evident run to .01 > .02+ that is going to come at some point.
When you have bids of $150K then hitting the ask on hail mary buys the volume adds up very quickly.
