many companies use friday as a catalyst for mondays. mondays are usually a red day. releasing news after hours friday allows for- as mentioned- time for investors to digest it. when market opens Monday depending on the news the market reacts accordingly. a super 8k from unvc will be humongous to read through in a day. so getting it out friday leaves the weekend. when everyone realizes the UUUGE mistake they made selling along with those who hold and those who want to buy. it gives them a chance to brace themselves for the tsunami lol
