A few things about this release.
Seafarer is continuing to pursue treasure at Melbourne and operations there have not slowed nor have expectations for treasure been lowered in any way at that site.
Seafarer does not have to share any of the treasure it finds at Juno with the state or anyone else.
Approval from the DEP and the Army Corp are formalities and will not take long.
They will not have to have operations slowed down by FBAR or resubmit or future approvals.
They can keep all the treasure they find and can bring it up when they want without having to ask permission from FBAR.
Seafarer can now go after the area that Judd Laird cut out of the survey years ago when Seafarer was hired to get the permit and find treasure on the site.
They will not be going back to previously searched areas – only to the area what was removed from the survey which was never searched.
Lots of wreck material (anchor, cannon balls of multiple sizes, clay-wrapped china, pottery, ballast stones, spikes etc.) has been found on Juno and they indicate a large mid-1500s wreck.
This is very good news.
