PSA: there is a chrome extension called easy auto

PSA: there is a chrome extension called easy auto refresh that will do that for you. Once you install it there is a circle looking icon (upper right hand corner) that you click when you are on a page you want to be refreshed. All you do is tell it how often. I normally have a few tabs open and 2 of them get refreshed every 5 minutes.
