When I was young and a bit dumb I drove from San Diego to Los Angeles only dropping below 100mph when I had to pull into Oceanside for gas and when I hit the outskirts of Los Angeles and dropped to a crawl. Not recommended for gas mileage, a 383 Magnum engine will only get 3 to 4 mpg at those speeds.
