I'm very much aware of the huge dependent class that we have in SC and I surely don't think the Plugs/Cackles Administration doing everything they possibly can to expand it is going to help anything or anybody.
I don't think that your nutburger neuron is so far gone that you don't know that if it were self sufficient repubbies sneaking across the border, not only would the border wall be completed by now, it would also be double in height and Blubbering Chuckie, Nasty Nancy, Mad Maxiine, and an entire division of looned up libruls would be guarding the wall with 50 calibers.
