NEW YORK, NY, Feb 21, 2013 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Trilliant Exploration (OTCQB: TTXP) is pleased to announce the discovery of the previously undocumented Pomeroy 5 East and West Zones at Copper Island Project. Assay results from the Pomeroy 5 East Zone have averaged 4.6% copper and 24g/t silver, up to 6.5% copper and 68g/t silver. Nine selective rock samples were taken from blasted and exposed bedrock over a length of 30m and analyzed at Acme Analytical Labs (Vancouver, BC). Assay results from Pomeroy 5 West Zone have averaged 2.4% copper and 9g/t silver, up to 3.6% copper and 12g/t silver. Four selective rock samples were taken from blasted and exposed bedrock 15m in length. The Pomeroy 5 East Zone is located 150m to the west of Pomeroy 2 South, with the Pomeroy 5 West Zone located 130m further west along the same east-west orientation. The discovery of the Pomeroy 5 Zones were the result of grid based exploration and a single map reference indicating a mineralized zone on a geological map from Prince Stewart Mines (1974).

Pomeroy 5 is a parallel structure 600m x 300m located to the west of the past producing Pomeroy 2 with mineralization that includes copper grade, high correlation with silver and at an elevation that are similar. The extent of mineralization at Pomeroy 5 beyond sampled areas is unknown.

Copper Island Mines Ltd. is in the process of working with its management team to produce a NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate which seeks to independently verify the 3.5 Million tonnes grading 2% Copper, the historical resource estimate.
The Project and its rights and claims are located 15km NW of Campbell River, British Columbia. Copper Island Mines Ltd. is the operator of a 3000 hectare property which is known for high grade chalcocite mineralization. The area has been under regular development and small scale production since 1915. The area contains one of the highest densities of copper prospects in British Columbia and is rated high for mineralization by the BCGS (British Columbia Geological Survey). Initial exploration on the Property was conducted by Dodge Copper in 1954 when 145 percussion holes were drilled outlining the Pomeroy areas. Exploration in the 1970's by Prince Stewart Mines and Quadra Mining resulted in a historic reserve estimate of 3.5 metric tons grading 2% copper. Exploration in the 1990s resulted in a historical resource estimate from all occurrences of 5.3Mt grading 1.98% copper, and is used for historical reference purposes only.
