Wondering why everyone went from "no way he will g

Wondering why everyone went from "no way he will go to the conference with a dark company" to he will probably reveal everything after the conference? Nothing has changed. In fact he has revealed more and we are at the point where all he has to say is go. Before or after the conference doesn't really make a difference. We all know it's about to happen. I'm just wondering if I missed something since everyone seemed to have changed when they thought it was happening.
