According to the announcement, Intercept can post music videos on Roku’s What’s Good Entertainment channel as well as Amazon’s Fire TV platforms; collectively the platforms reach into 100 million homes. Sanwire noted that streaming music and music videos is a burgeoning space, with Spotify paying artists $5 billion in 2020 and YouTube close behind, paying almost $4 billion.
