I don't know the answers, but he could be telling the truth, If he owned the shares, they had been paid to him for his work or land or whatever, he can do with his shares whatever he so pleases. So if he wanted to trade them and they were his, why not. If you go back far enough and If I remember correctly in the begining when treaty purchased land (I believe) from him and paid him in shares. This is off the top of my head so don't hold me to it. He owns the real estate co. and they are his shares. so let him do with his money (shares) what he chooses. The shares didn't come from treaty they came from him. if you get my rambling.
