"It would seem CytoDyn has still not learned how to design a bulletproof protocol -- even in the face of repeated and embarrassing failures."
Tell me, how many of those Brazilian protocols were set up directly by CYDY and how many were by AE Hospital? Which are which? It appears the lead in this is not CYDY, but the hospital.
Don't get me wrong, I've been complaining about trial protocol over confidence by CYDY from the beginning. Shooting high with all-cause mortality PEPs was IMO just plain stupid. But if we are going to blame CYDY for protocol shouldn't we be reasonably sure it was CYDYs decision in the first place? Maybe it was and maybe your complaint is reasonable, but I think others here have made some reasonable objections to some of your points.
Another question (being the suspicious type that I am) is how much, if any, influence has BP had in setting things up? I believe they have a significant interest in the outcome. Do they also have significant influence with AE Hospital?
My point is perhaps before we scream "CYDY incompetence" we should know there was incompetence and not outside influence. When dealing with organized crime willing to trade human life for gain (I like the comparison) one should expect some outside influence.
We shall see what comes from the protocols and likely how effective any potential outside influence might have been.
Oh, yeah...I sincerely hope I've been watching too many B movies and my experience lobbying in DC are not reflective of what may, or may not, actually be going on with the Brazil trial protocol.
In my ignorance I am rather confident we will get acceptable results. But that and a nickel...
