1. They may or may not have news of the results of the target depth of 19,000+ ft. by the stockholder meeting. They may very likely have reached the target, but very unlikely have analyzed it fot dissemating details about what they find.
2. I remember that they sent info stating that the well was to be drilled at a severe slant. Thus, the well is considerably longer than 19,000+ ft
This would allow subsequent paths to be easily and much more quickly drilled from the initial slanted well. I infer these "feeder wells" would be based on the results of the intial well and the 3d study.
3. I infer from their communications that it is considered likely that this well may be as previous wells "hydrocarbons present, but not commercially viable". However, they now have the ability to pivot rapidly to drill another well(s). The second-half of the year may be full of results from their efforts.
4. If, as we all hope, they strke sustantial, commercally viable oil then it seems to me that presents somewhat of a dilemma to them. Surely, if they release information, it will be all over the news agencies. It will almost certainly become a target for Iranian and Palestinian hostilities. I am very attentive on how they will deal with that. It is very easily envisioned that a truly large find would make Israel's enemies even more desparate to "drive them into the sea". If I muse about this, I am sure ZNOG and Israeli leadership have engaged in very serious thoughts and plans. Spicy stuff!
5. The last leg of my speculations is that if substantial oil is found then does that make Israel "energy independant"? After all, that is the stated goal of ZNOG's charter. The answer, of course is, "No!". I see no way for energy idependence apart from building a sizeable refinery. Chew on that for a while!
