India and Brazil to ban Remdisivir. It’s kind of nice to see the countries that have been trialing the standard of care drugs that are having the most issues like India and Brazil have both announced that they are on their way to banning Remdisivir. (Link to video at the bottom.) They see no value in that treatment... really? We could of told you that a year ago.
There needs to be an congressional investigation into how it got its EUA and then received a full approval before the last administration left office. A rushed approval without a peer review which is standard. Makes you wonder how many hands were taking hush money and how high it went. I am sure it went beyond the FDA but how far up the chain of command got paid? All for a drug that internationally is being called out as not showing any benefit for Covid at any level and has possible side effect issues they probably will never completely know. If the pathway to banning Remdisivir world wide continues it will be mothballed and set on a shelf until the next pandemic it won’t work for... strike three?
I believe Calatang said it has had 90 something trials and yet only our countries trials probably show some benefit and it’s not repeatable outside our country? What’s that say about our process let alone so many trials just to keep other trial drugs from competing and getting approved. Sound familiar? Hard to find patients at the beginning of the pandemic. Someone was continually buying all the patients possible so no other drugs had a chance to do a quick trial. It took us 1 whole year for less than 400 patients and they did over 90 large trials I bet. For the first 6 months or so we had exclusions that we couldn’t be used with certain drugs and Remdisivir was one of them. That’s why it was so hard to fill our trial early on. Major stall tactic?
Makes you wonder if just taking it could be the reason that people get long haulers. Who knows right? Detrimental to the patients and no benefit. Hmmm? A negative effect like a number of symptoms from Long Haulers long list of side effects might prove interesting. Maybe we see other countries that never did approve it has no Long Haulers in their covid infected population? Something to follow up on. Would be pretty damning if that played out to be true. We can only dream of being the savior to a dominating Goliath.
You would think I was a conspiracy guy... but I am not... just like to bring up the possibilities that could of happened. Not saying that they did or not. Just being devils advocate on corruption. Is there corruption? I don’t know...fun to throw it around and see what happens...you could say I am stirring the proverbial pot...
