Here is the problem with this. As much as it may be a typical thing for the FDA to do, the content of the statement is shock as much as the motivation to even publish it. Clearly who ever wrote the statement flipped all the data submitted to the last page and concluded the PE was missed and there is no point in reading the whole trial report. Any idiot could look at the data and see there were very sick trial participants that survived and were pulled off ventilators because of Leronlimab. To bottom line the trial as a failure in their words is a huge injustice. Second, they are an entity that likely gets all kinds of outside pressure for everything they do. They must have a thicker skin and not feel there feelings were hurt because of the tweets begging them to give an EUA to a drug that saves lives. Last, the FDA knows Cytodyn is a tiny company and this process is long and expensive. This statement could sink a company and this drug would never see the light of day. Lives lost because of this overreaching childish statement from the FDA. They should be ashamed for being so petty.
